Apple now selling standalone 18W USB-C power adapter, priced at $29
Apple has quietly released a standalone 18W USB-C power adapter, the same adapter that was previously only found bundled with the latest 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.
Available for $29 in the United States, the adapter allows users to fast charge their iPhone 8, iPhone X, or iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR with a Lightning to USB-C cable. – The adaptor is also compatible with all iPad Pro models.
The description for the new adapter boasts how users can benefit from fast charging at home, in the office or on the go.
The Apple 18W USB‑C Power Adapter offers fast, efficient charging at home, in the office or on the go. While the power adapter is compatible with any USB‑C-enabled device, Apple recommends pairing it with the 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation) for optimal charging performance. Charging cable sold separately.
The adapter launched alongside Apple’s first official accessory for the iPhone XR – a flexible $39 clear case created with a blend of optically clear polycarbonate and flexible TPU materials. Customers can order the two new Apple Store arrivals today online, and begin purchasing the items from Apple retail locations later this week.
