Amazon launches its official Apple Authorized Reseller store
Amazon has unveiled its official Apple Authorized Reseller store following the announcement earlier in the month that the online retail giant had reached an agreement with Apple to directly sell more Apple products, including iPhone, iPad and its range of Beats headphones in the United States, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India.
Prior to the launch of the official Apple Authorized Reseller store today, Amazon had been limited to selling a small selection of Apple hardware such as the Apple TV and related accessories.
Independent sellers who currently retail Apple products through Amazon will have their listings removed after January 4, 2019 under the new deal. As reported at the beginning of the month, Amazon isn’t selling Apple’s full range of products, including HomePod which is a direct competitor to Amazon’s line of Echo smart speaker devices.
Amazon is offering free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime on all of Apple’s products, with the ability to use Amazon gift cards towards purchases of Apple items. Amazon opens the new webpage by saying “Welcome to the Apple store at Amazon.co.uk where you’ll discover the full Apple range including laptops, desktops, tablets, accessories and much more.”
