Apple.com shows Apple Pay ‘coming soon’ in Germany
Apple Pay will soon be available for customers in Germany according to an update to Apple.com on Monday that shows Boon, Hanseatic Bank, O2 Banking, American Express and more will gain support for the mobile payment service ‘soon’.
The “coming soon” page for Apple Pay doesn’t specifically reveal when the service will launch, but it does confirm that Apple is sticking to the promise made by Tim Cook earlier in the year that the service would arrive before the end of the year.
Apple Pay has long been rumoured for Germany. “About Apple Pay” documentation appeared on Apple’s German webpage last year, and an early iOS 11 beta shared references to the mobile payment service and its various set-up steps.
