New Apple Pencil up for pre-order with optional engraving
Alongside the introduction of new MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iPad Pro hardware today, Apple debuted their second generation Apple Pencil. The new stylus, which only works with the new iPads announced today, is now up for pre-order and will be available next week on November 7th.
The product has been completely redesigned in the way it works. No longer do you have to plug your Pencil into the bottom of the iPad for charging, which to be honest was always kind of a pain. The smart stylus now connects magnetically to the side of the iPad and charges wirelessly. This also allows you to connect it seamlessly to the tablet without the need to connect it to the USB-C port. In addition, users will now be able to easily change the tools they are working with by simply double tapping the Pencil.
With the introduction of the new design, Apple is also now allowing you to engrave the product as it has done with other products in the past. As previously mentioned you can order the new Apple Pencil (as well as the new iPads to go with it) right now for $129 and both will be available next week.
