Apple tweeting ‘There’s more in the making.’ October event reminders
The official @Apple Twitter handle has tweeted a special reminder promoting the upcoming ‘There’s more in the making.’ October event, with users who retweet receiving a special thank you, and the promise of a reminder on Tuesday before the event starts.
The tweets shared by Apple are rather mysterious, with them not appearing on the @Apple timeline. Nicknamed ‘Dark Tweets’, the invisible updates aren’t an advertising service Twitter offers to the public, hinting Apple has developed a special partnership to allow for such advertisements to be sent, though they are becoming more common with other companies using such tweets for when they host events.
Apple last used ‘Dark Tweets’ in September to promote the launch of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
To receive a special tweet from Apple, Twitter users simply need to retweet the message below. Apple will send a second tweet to those who received the first auto-reply prior to the event ‘so you’ll stay in the know.’
@TheApplePost Thank you. We’ll send a reminder before the #AppleEvent on 30 October. Reply #unsubscribe to opt out. pic.twitter.com/IgqhTsS3G1
