Apple to close Carrousel du Louvre store at end of the month
Apple has confirmed that its retail store in the Carrousel du Louvre shopping mall in Paris, France will permanently close on October 27th.
A replacement location has already been announced, although a specific opening date was not mentioned. The new flagship location will debut sometime in November on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Apple has already confirmed that some employees from Apple Carrousel du Louvre will be transitioned to the new store at a later date.
This location was Apple’s first retail location in France and since opening in 2009 has seen over 12 million visitors. Besides Carrousel du Louvre, within the past year Apple has also closed their Simi Valley location as well Apple The Pier in New Jersey. Unfortunately these two locations did not have replacement locations.
In the meantime, Apple recommends customers visit the company’s retail website to find their closest location.
