Apple releases watchOS 5.0.1, fixing bugs effecting activity tracking
Apple has released watchOS 5.0.1, a relatively small bug fixing update which addresses bugs within the main watchOS 5 update released to the public last week, including an issue that prevented Apple Watch users from not receiving Stand credit.
Available now as an over-the-air update for customers wearing a watchOS 5 compatible Apple Watch model, the update requires users to have their watch charged to at least 50% and connect it to their magnetic charger, and correctly paired with an iPhone connected to the internet to begin the download.
We’ll be digging through watchOS 5 as soon as its downloaded on our own Apple Watches, and will update the article if any new features are discovered within the update.
watchOS 5.0.1 fixes the following…
- Fixes an issue that caused a small number of users to see an increase in exercise minutes
- Addresses an issue that caused some users to not receive Stand credit in the afternoon
