I’ve been holding off from purchasing a wireless charger for my iPhone since Apple announced it would be launching AirPower, its multi-device wireless charging pad during some point in 2018. With the end of the year quickly approaching and still no update on AirPower’s availability, I’ve decided to look elsewhere for my first Qi wireless charger.
With my money all spent on the iPhone Xs Max and Apple Watch Series 4, I was searching around for an affordable wireless charger that wouldn’t break the bank and supported 7.5W wireless charging. I stumbled across Te-Rich and their Wireless USB-C ultra slim Qi Charger, and instantly knew it was the one for me.
The Te-Rich Wireless Qi Charger is capable of offering fast 15W wireless charging speeds, but is limited to 7.5W on the iPhone as this is the maximum speed supported by Apple. – Hopefully over time Apple increase that limit, giving iPhone users the power to use the charging pad to its full potential.
The ultra slim Te-Rich Wireless Qi Charger does a perfect job of matching the design ascetic of the iPhone X. Available in White, Space Gray & Gold, the sleek and compact design features matte edges and a glossy, mirror-like top, with the Space Gray top matching near identically to the Space Gray used by Apple themselves. – Te-Rich includes a “premium” color matched USB-C cable in the box, but doesn’t supply a wall plug, which was disappointing, but not the end of the world.
At the time of publishing this article, the Te-Rich Wireless Qi Charger is available on Amazon for £16.99, down from its original selling price of £29.50. Although I’ve only tested the charging pad on the iPhone Xs Max, Te-Rich offers a 100% compatibility promise that the product will work on ALL Qi compatible devices, including the iPhone 8 and upwards.
The ultra slim Te-Rich Wireless Qi Charger is an affordable, wireless charging pad ideal for unobtrusively placing around the home. The design of the charging pad compliments the overall design ascetic of the iPhone X perfectly, and the affordable price point makes the product definitely worth checking out yourself.
