Apple removes iOS 12 beta 7 OTA update due to poor performance
Following the release of iOS 12 developer beta 7 for iPhone and iPad earlier today, Apple has pulled the OTA (Over-the-Air) version of the software release following a number of reports of poor performance and unresponsiveness.
A large number of developers who downloaded the software took to social media to report delayed app launches, unresponsive lock screens and a generally sluggish experience. –
Within iOS 12 beta 7 Apple removed the ability to make group FaceTime calls, a long awaited feature, and one of the most highly anticipated additions to iOS 12 for many. – Although no specific date was given, Apple reports the feature will return later in the year.
Apple will most likely pause the release of the public beta of iOS 12 beta 7 until a later date.
