Apple to launch three new iPhone models, including new low-cost device

6.1-inch LCD iPhone
Apple’s low-cost iPhone will come in the form of a new, 6.1-inch LCD device. Just like the iPhone X, the 6.1-inch model is said to feature a full edge-to-edge display with the same slimline bezels and TrueDepth Camera System to allow for Face ID, and of course Animoji and Memoji coming with iOS 12.
Unlike the iPhone X, the low-cost 6.1-inch model is said to only feature one single camera on the rear (just like the iPhone 8), meaning its unlikely that customers will benefit from Portrait Mode, Apple’s depth-of-field photography feature. The device will most-likely feature an aluminum frame instead of a stainless steel frame, and it may not come equipped ready for wireless charging.
The Wall Street Journal is expecting the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to lead iPhone sales in 2018. Some reports have claimed that the new iPhone may not support 3D Touch to help keep production costs down, in return helping Apple reduce the retail price of the handset.
Apple could launch the device in blue, yellow and pink, similar to the low-cost iPhone 5c that launched in five colours (blue, green, yellow, pink and white) in 2013 according to analyst Jun Zhang. – This should be taken with a pinch of salt, but certainly shouldn’t be ruled out.
The new 6.1-inch LCD iPhone is expected to be priced between $600 – $800.

iPhone X & iPhone X Plus
Apple is expected to launch an upgraded version of the current iPhone X alongside a larger 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus in September. Both new iPhone X models are expected to retain their current design, with one of the most notable changes being the introduction of a ‘Blush Gold’ color option.
Few details have surfaced regarding the upgraded iPhone X and new iPhone X Plus, however; a report from Taiwan suggested that the larger Plus device would feature a triple-lensed rear camera system bringing a 6P lens design with 5x zoom, meaning the iPhone X Plus could feature not one, not two, but three rear cameras like the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone.
The iPhone X Plus is expected to feature up to 25 percent more battery capacity than the current iPhone X. No doubt that the two devices will receive upgraded internals and sharper front and rear facing cameras. Reports from Japan have said that the upcoming 6.5-inch iPhone (iPhone X Plus) will be similar in size to the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus.
Apple has reportedly been able to secure better pricing from its manufactures, with analysts predicting that the next-generation iPhone X could sell for $899, with the iPhone X Plus selling at $999.
