Apple introduces Memoji, new custom Animoji characters

Just when you thought Animoji couldn’t get any better Apple has revealed Memoji, offering users the option to create personalized Animoji characters.
As demonstrated up on stage, iOS 12 users will be able to create fully custom Memoji characters, with Apple offering the ability to choose skin tones, facial features, hair styles, glasses, jewellery, eye colour, accessories, and more.
Memoji characters are available with Apple’s new group FaceTime calling feature that allows you to video-chat up to 32 people on one single FaceTime call. Those in the call can apply fun face filters and stickers, including Animoji as well as their custom created Memoji.
iOS 12 doubles down on performance and most importantly will be supported on all current iOS 11 devices, including the ageing iPhone 5s. The software makes advancements to Siri, News, Stocks, Voice Memos, and iBooks (now known as Apple Books), and much more.
Memoji will be available later in the year when iOS 12 rolls-out to the public. In the meantime, developer and public beta testers will be able to get their hands upon the software sooner via Apple’s beta programs.
