Regulatory filings expose probable ‘iPhone SE 2’
New regulatory filings submitted to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) have potentially exposed an upcoming ‘iPhone SE 2’.
The filing, discovered by Consomac, shows new iPhone model numbers A1920, A1921, A1984, A2097, A2098, A2099, A2101, A2103, A2014, A2015, and A2016 have been approved for sale in a number of countries including Russia and Armenia.
Interestingly the document notes the new models will ship with iOS 11 (likely iOS 11.4), hinting that the devices will be released prior to Apple’s main iPhone refresh in September.
Regulatory filings are a must for new devices hitting the market, and the EEC has 100 percent accuracy in providing model information before the devices are officially released.
Unfortunately, no release or sale date was included within the documentation discovered today however, usually filings are made public either just a few days, or weeks, before release.
