Apple appoints Oliver Schusser as Apple Music VP
Apple on Wednesday announced that long-time employee, Oliver Schusser, who has over 14 years of experience under his belt working at the Cupertino company, has been made the new Vice President of Apple Music and International Content.
The news follows the announcement by Apple that their music streaming service, Apple Music, has surpassed 40 million subscribers, a 2 million increase in just over a month; taking the company more than halfway to catching up to rival Spotify, with 71 million paid subscribers.
Variety reports that Oliver will relocate from London to California, splitting his time between Apple Park in Cupertino and Apple’s offices in Culver City. – Despite rumours that Apple Music executive, Jimmy Iovine, is planning to leave Apple later this year, Apple has reported that the promotion of Schusser will have no impact on Iovine’s standing with the company.
