New iPad Pro with Face ID ‘likely’ to launch at WWDC
According to Rosenblatt Securities analyst Jun Zhang, Apple will ‘likely’ launch a highly rumored iPad Pro with Face ID during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) expected to take place during early June.
The report expects Apple to include slimmer bezels and no home button on the 2018 iPad Pro following in line with the design of the iPhone X, with Apple possibly taking the opportunity to upgrade the tablets to new eight-core “A11X” processors, a step up from the A11 chips found on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.
Clues are pointing to Apple hosting WWDC between Monday June 4th and Friday June 8th at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, the same venue used last year for WWDC 2017. Last month regulatory filings submitted to the Eurasian Economic Commission showed two new iPad models with references A1893 and A1954 hinting that a new iPad was on the way.
