iOS 11.3 firmware hints at new iPad with Face ID
Following the first developer beta release of iOS 11.3 yesterday, firmware hints Apple may be developing a new iPad with Face ID.
As discovered by iHelpBR editor Filipe Espósito, the iOS 11.3 beta that refer to a “modern iPad,” which is notable since Apple’s software engineers referred to the iPhone X as the “modern iPhone” prior to the devices official release.
This isn’t the first time we’ve had hints of a new iPad with Face ID. Last year KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, one of the most accurate and reliable voices on all things Apple, said a new iPad with Face ID would be in Apple’s 2018 product line-up, with the device using the facial recognition system found on the iPhone X.
