Apple rebrands iTunes Movies with @AppleTV account on Twitter
As part of an iTunes Movies rebrand Apple has today spruced up the former @iTunesMovies Twitter account with a new @AppleTV handle, profile picture, cover artwork and account name, with Apple using the account to promote the Apple TV app which is available on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad in select countries around the world.
It’s unclear what the new @AppleTV feed will share, however it’s likely Apple will use the account as a way to attract new users and promote content available through the app. – So far the account has only tweeted once since the rebrand, promoting Apple TV’s Amazon Prime Video support which launched earlier today.
Earlier in the year Apple promised a wider rollout of the Apple TV app on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad before the end of the year, so it is likely customers in countries highlighted by Apple will see the TV app go live at some point this month.
