It’s been a little over a week since the iPhone X arrived in-stores and in customers hands. So far there’s been a limited number of issues surrounding the release, but we now need to add a green bar issue to the list. While the issue does seem to be limited, a few iPhone X owners have shared images of a green line appearing on the side of the OLED display.
There doesn’t appear to be a clear cause to the issue, but images show that the green bar appearing on either the left or right side of the display. Apple’s Support account on Twitter has reached out to many of the affected users, with responses ranging to asking if the users have updated to iOS 11.1.1 to “We’d like to look at this together.”
Just a couple days ago users reported that their iPhone X’s display would not work in colder temperatures. Apple acknowledged the problem and claimed they would provide a fix with a future software update.
As of now there’s no report from Apple and it’s unclear if the green line issue is software or hardware related.
