Apple begins early iPhone Upgrade Program eligibility checks ahead of iPhone X pre-orders
As reported last week, Apple is giving customers a “head start” on the iPhone X pre-order process by starting iPhone Upgrade Program enrolment early, and today the company has now started the early eligibility checks for those currently part of the program that allows customers to pay monthly for their device, with the option of yearly upgrades to the latest Apple handset.
iPhone X pre-orders start this Friday (October 27th), and stock of the device is expected to fly off Apple’s virtual shelves, with the first batch of devices that will be given the delivery date of November 3rd being limited to the first group of lucky customers.
The special announcement which was published through Apple.com and via a notice in the Apple Store app promotes how once approved, customers can use the Apple Store app when iPhone X pre-orders kick off to complete the purchase, making the pre-order process faster for iPhone Upgrade customers as no approval will need to be completed at the time orders are placed.
The “head start” on the iPhone X pre-order process is exclusive to customers in the United States, as other locations such as the United Kingdom require customers to visit their local Apple Store to enrol into the program.
