Apple confirms September 12th ‘Let’s meet at our place’ event at Apple Park
Hallelujah! Apple has officially confirmed to the media today that they shall be hosting a product event on Tuesday September 12th at Apple Park, an event in which Apple is expected to publicly unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 8, announce the public release date of iOS 11 and more.
The event is expected to see Apple unveil the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, an updated Apple Watch Series 3, a new 4K Apple TV alongside revealing the public release date of iOS 11, tvOS 11, watchOS 4 and macOS High Sierra.
The event will be the first time Apple has used their soon to be completed Apple Park headquarters, with recently released drone footage showing the continued work on the “spaceship” campus.
The iPhone 8 is most certainly building itself up to be one of the most anticipated iPhone releases of all time. According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8.
It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
