SIM-free versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are now available from Apple’s online store
Customers in the United States are now able to choose an unlocked, SIM-free iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus from Apple’s online store, with the unlocked models (A1660 and A1661) working on any chosen carrier, with full access to CDMA and GSM networks.
SIM-free iPhone handsets have been available in multiple countries around the world, such as the United Kingdom and France since launch however, as stock levels continue to grow it’s apparent Apple is eager to give US customers the flexibility given to those who don’t wish to be restricted to one particular carrier.
As of yet, unlocked handsets can only be purchased via Apple’s online store however it’s likely that will change over the next couple of days. | Earlier today, The Apple Post reported that the Jet Black variation of the iPhone 7 Plus is in stock at multiple Apple Stores across the US.
